BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – A 34-year-old man is behind bars on several charges in Baldwin County after a vehicle pursuit led to a drug arrest, authorities said.
Deputies said Maurice Sanford led authorities on a short chase on U.S. 98 on Friday. The chase ended in the Aaronville community in Foley. According to the authorities, deputies found 7 pounds of marijuana inside Sanford’s vehicle.
Sanford faces charges of felony eluding and trafficking marijuana.
Authorities said Sanford could have additional firearm-related charges added.
