MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The West Tennessee Drug Task Force is reporting that several pounds of marijuana were found during a drug bust.
On Sunday, March 9, 2025, Agents with the 30th District out of Shelby County conducted a traffic stop of a rental van on I-40 for a traffic violation.
During the stop, the Agent developed reasonable suspicion to believe further criminal activity was occurring.
The driver denied consent to search the van, and the Agent deployed his canine partner, who alerted to the vehicle.
A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed approximately 150 lbs. of marijuana hidden throughout.
One female suspect was arrested and is being charged.
