LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A border patrol K-9 unit helped in making a large drug bust.

According to the agency’s social media page, it happened at a Border Patrol checkpoint when the dog alerted agents to the potential presence of drugs in a tractor-trailer.

Upon further investigation, they found 56 pounds of marijuana hidden in the cabin.

According to the agency, the drugs are said to be worth more than $16,000.
