Two people are dead after a shooting Thursday night at a cannabis store in the St. Johns neighborhood, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement.
Officers arrived at La Mota near North St. Louis Avenue and Seneca Street shortly after 9:30 p.m. to find two people dead. Another person also was there and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
No details were immediately available. Homicide detectives remain on the scene for the initial phase of the investigation.

If officially ruled homicides, these would be the 57th and 58th in Portland this year. At this point in 2023, Portland had had 55 homicides.
