WHEATON, IL — Some $2,000 worth of cannabis products were stolen after someone used a brick to shatter a window and gain entry to an apartment in the Briarbrook complex, according to police.

Officers were called to the home in the 1900 block of Lancaster Lane around 11 a.m. on Nov. 14 for a report of a broken window. Police say the residents were not home, but property management let them into the unit, where they found a brick in one of the bedrooms.

When the residents spoke to police, they said they had left the apartment around 10 a.m. After the residents returned to the apartment, they said THC cartridges and 1/8 samples appeared to have been stolen.

Anyone with information about this incident may call the Wheaton Police Department at 630-260-2161.
