Several thousand illegal cannabis, flavored vape, and tobacco products were seized at the three stores, police say.

Three people were arrested in connection with selling cannabis products during compliance checks at multiple businesses in the Fourth Precinct on Tuesday, Suffolk police said.

RONKONKOMA, NY — Three people were arrested in connection with selling cannabis products during compliance checks at multiple businesses in the 4th Precinct on Tuesday, Suffolk police said.

Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers checked four businesses for compliance with laws related to the sales of cannabis products and three were found to have violations, according to police.

The Fire Marshals from Islip, Smithtown, and Brookhaven were issued violations at the businesses, and several thousand illegal cannabis, flavored vape, and tobacco products were seized at the three stores, police said.

The checks were conducted in response to community complaints, police said, adding that they were part of increased efforts to combat illegal cannabis sales in the 4th Precinct.

The following people were charged with unlawful sale of cannabis products without a license:

A 50-year-old from Mastic who is an employee of Convenience 12-12 Smoke Shop on Wheeler Road in Hauppauge. The person was previously arrested for the same charge on Sept. 5, at Lucky 7 Smoke Shop on Rosevale Avenue in Ronkonkoma.A 49-year-old from Deer Park who is an employee of Happy Smoke Shop on Smithtown Boulevard in Ronkonkoma.A 43-year-old from Selden who is an employee of I-Smoke on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma. The person was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

The three were all released on Appearance Tickets and they will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
