This year, 4/20, the high holiday in marijuana culture, fell on Easter Sunday and the last day of Passover. As a result, cannabis enthusiasts celebrated in a variety of unconventional ways, such as a “blaze and praise” drag brunch in Portland, Oregon; kosher-style THC gummies in New York; and an “Easter nug hunt” in Los Angeles.(AP)

The date and the word “420” in general have a long and hazy history. Some said it was based on Bob Dylan’s “Rainy Day Women No. 12 & 35, others say it was a reference to a police code for marijuana possession.(AP)

The brunch in Portland served as a practice run for Pride month festivities in June, according to bar owner Melinda Archuleta.
