ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) – Four people are facing charges after officers found over 350 grams of synthetic marijuana while searching an Elkhart apartment.
Police say they were granted a search warrant for an apartment in the 500 block of W. High Street near Vistula Street after officers seized approximately 42.5 total grams of “tune” (synthetic marijuana) from eight stops in a three-hour period on Monday.
Later that day, police officers and SWAT searched the apartment and seized 356 grams of purported synthetic marijuana, as well as meth, guns and drug paraphernalia.
Four people who were inside the apartment at the time of the search were arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail.
33-year-old Darrius Dillon faces preliminary charges of dealing in a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana. He was also arrested and booked into jail on outstanding and unrelated warrants. His bond was set at $150,000.
63-year-old Anthony Givens faces preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. His bond was set at $3,000.
26-year-old Selena Colon faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, visiting a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia. She was also arrested and booked into jail on an outstanding and unrelated warrant. Her bond was set at $3,000.
50-year-old Maria Willis faces preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and visiting a common nuisance. Her bond was set at $1,500.
