BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. (WMC) – Brownsville Police Department has arrested and charged a suspect following a large bust of weapons and illegal drugs.
TBI, in collaboration with the Brownsville Police Department, served a search warrant at a home on Poplar Corner Road in Haywood County.
Agents seized more than 1,000 grams of marijuana, marijuana edibles, three vials of morphine sulfate, a felony amount of lorazepam, multiple weapons, electronic scales, a very large amount of ammunition, and $37,990.00 in suspected drug proceeds.
One man was arrested and admitted to agents that he sold drugs.
The suspect is being charged with drug possession, possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The man is being held in the Haywood County Jail awaiting arraignment on these charges.
