Police identify victim in Lawrenceburg pedestrian crash, driver arrested
Lawrenceburg police have identified the woman who was killed Thursday night after being hit by an oncoming car.She has been named as Ashley Quicksall, 29, of Lawrenceburg.The crash happened at approximately 10:23 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Route 50 and Front Street, according to police.Quicksall was crossing the street across US-50 when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle, according to the department. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car has been named as Cory Lyon, 50. Police say he remained at the scene after the crash.Lyon’s booking info lists him as being held on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and illegal possession of marijuana.Police say another person was also crossing the street with Quicksall during the crash, but was not hit by Lyon.Lyon’s booking info lists him as a white male who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs 155 pounds. He has black hair and hazel eyes.
