SHELDON—A 30-year-old Maricopa, AZ, man was arrested about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Sheldon on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest of Dylan Scott Sledge stemmed from a controlled delivery and search warrant executed at the Sheldon Motel, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
Sledge’s name was listed on a FedEx package delivered and searched.
Room 20 of the motel also was searched.
Inside the FedEx box were multiple unopened packages of marijuana/cannabis plant material.
Sledge admitted he was waiting for the package and was aware of what was inside the package, according to the incident report.
A grinder with green plant material consistent with marijuana were found in Room 20.
Sledge said he was staying in Room 20 while he was in town for work.
