SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The Surfside Beach Police Dept. (SBPD) executed a search warrant at Delta Dispensary Thursday afternoon.

The business is located at 327 North Highway 17.

The warrant was the result of a three-month investigation into the sale of unregulated and untested substances that were represented as hemp, however, forensic analysis showed the products were above the state-regulated limits for THC, according to police. SBPD added the products contained significantly higher amounts of the THC compound and therefore meet the definition of marijuana.
