NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A 25-year-old man was killed Thursday night after gunfire erupted during an alleged marijuana deal, Metro Police report.

It happened inside an apartment at the Avana Overlook complex on Bell Road in Antioch.

Metro Police detectives believe the victim was intending to sell marijuana to three individuals who came to the apartment. “An argument over the price reportedly took place before gunshots were heard,” police wrote in a press release.

The man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. Authorities are working to identify his family.
