MONTICELLO, Ky. (WKYT) – A Wayne County man has been accused of growing marijuana in his home.

Danny Tomlin was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.

In a Facebook post, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says they were searching for multiple wanted subjects in Monticello with a history of running from deputies.

When deputies searched South First Street, they noticed Tomlin running through a backyard while holding two marijuana plants. Deputies say Tomlin tried to take the plants inside his home but surrendered himself to officers before making it inside.

After Tomlin was arrested, officers noticed more marijuana plants in large growing pots, leading to a search of his home.

When deputies searched Tomlin’s home, they found an indoor marijuana grow alongside more mature marijuana plants.

Tomlin was charged with cultivation of marijuana and was found to have an outstanding warrant in Warren County.
