RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio — City Council took no action Tuesday (Oct. 22) to extend its recently expired six-month moratorium on the adult-use cannabis business operating within the city.

Council, in December of 2023, approved a six-month moratorium on the dispensing, cultivation and processing of adult-use cannabis, just one month after Ohio voters approved state Issue 2, legalizing adult recreational use. In June of this year, council voted to extend that moratorium by four months, to Oct. 19.
