Maine (WMTW) – A recall of cannabis products sold in Maine is growing.

In early October, the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy announced it was recalling cannabis products that were sold at 14 adult-use retail stores across the state after they failed bacterial, yeast and mold testing.

The pre-ground cannabis flower, pre-rolls, and blunts being recalled are all of the strain “Frosted Cookies” and were produced by Massachusetts-based Nova Farms.

Thursday, the office announced an expanded recall involving additional pre-ground adult-use cannabis flower, pre-rolls, and blunts of the strain “Frosted Cookies” as well as pre-ground flower of the strain “Frozay”.

The products were sold between Aug. 30, 2024, and Oct. 14, 2024

The products affected by the original recall were sold at 14 adult-use cannabis retail stores. Nine additional stores located in Auburn, Bethel, Bridgton, Eliot, Gardiner, Lewiston, Portland, and Waterville sold products affected by the expanded recall.
