PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) — A traffic stop resulted in the seizure of 600 pounds of marijuana in Pontotoc County.
This happened Sunday evening, Dec. 22 on Interstate 22, the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department announced.
Law enforcement officers pulled over a van for a traffic violation, the sheriff’s department announced, and found the marijuana and other narcotics — valued at approximately $1 million.
The sheriff is expected to name the suspect soon.
