The store held its soft opening on Friday along Route 3 in the town of Plattsburgh, marking a significant addition to the area’s growing cannabis market.The Herb Cave offers a variety of craft cannabis products sourced from smaller farms and micro-businesses throughout New York State. This focus on locally grown cannabis sets the dispensary apart as it looks to provide high-quality, unique products to its customers.In a noteworthy milestone, The Herb Cave also stands as the first woman-owned, licensed cannabis dispensary in the Plattsburgh region. Co-owner Christie Ashabranner expressed her pride in entering an industry historically dominated by men.”I think it’s important for especially women to be able to get out into an industry that’s been basically run by men. I mean, it’s great to be able to be a woman saying, ‘I did this, I did this,’ I got into this industry, even though against all odds,” Ashabranner said.The Herb Cave will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
