Two men were arrested on Tuesday when a traffic stop in Waterbury turned up fentanyl and more than 250 grams of marijuana.

The vehicle was pulled over at 2:17 p.m. in the area of Walnut Street and North Walnut Street, according to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police Department.

During the stop, authorities seized $923, 264 grams of marijuana and 3.7 grams of fentanyl, according to Bessette.

The individuals who were arrested included 38-year-old Savory Trueheart and 38-year-old Rondrae Rogers both of Waterbury. Both men were charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

Bessette noted that both suspects have a previous criminal history that includes narcotics-related offenses.

Trueheart was released on a $50,000 bond and is expected to appear in court next Thursday.

Rogers was held on a $50,000 bond and was arraigned the next day in Waterbury Superior Court. He is due back in court on Feb. 11.
