DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF)–A major food delivery company is now offering THC and CBD products for on-demand delivery here in Ohio.

DoorDash is now able to deliver hemp-derived products like gummies, drinks, mints, and chocolates to those of legal age. It’ll show up as a new ‘CBD/THC’ tab on the DoorDash app.

The company said nearly 75% of adults ages 21 to 65 are considering incorporating THC or CBD products into their routine to relax and decompress.

DoorDash will have several safety measures to make sure buyers are of age, including electronic ID verification.

We received a statement from DoorDash which said:

“Since 2020, DoorDash has been expanding to new verticals beyond restaurant delivery, including grocery, alcohol, retail, and more to meet evolving consumer needs and expectations of convenience. As part of this evolution, DoorDash is facilitating the delivery of hemp-derived THC (no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight) and CBD products via the DoorDash Marketplace. Our goal is to offer consumers a seamless way to get products they want in a safe and compliant manner while helping local merchants reach new customers.”

The company’s director and general manager of Alcohol and Emerging Categories, Jacob Morello also released a statement, which said in part:

“As preferences evolve, DoorDash can now help eligible customers find new products to safely enjoy while they unwind and recharge in the new year.”
