The only medical marijuana dispensary in Acadiana will open its new Lafayette location and another in Opelousas by mid-summer.
The two locations will give The Apothecary Shoppe, which landed the only license to operate a medical marijuana pharmacy in the Lafayette region five years ago, three locations in Acadiana. The Lafayette site, 2114 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, broke ground late last year.
It opened his first pharmacy at 620 Guilbeau Road, Suite A, in 2019 and opened a pharmacy in New Iberia at 1700 Center St. in 2023.
The group also announced Blair Vidrine was named CEO. Vidrine, who had been chief operating officer, is the son of pharmacist and co-founder Eric Vidrine and has been with the company since 2019.
