New Mexico just upped its dispensary game with a 9,000-square-foot pot shop in Sunland Park — a small city with a population of about 18,000. It is the largest in the state.
Oklahoma-based Mango Cannabis officially announced that its doors were open last week after locals first got inside on Dec. 20. It is stocked up with over 3,000 products from more than 100 brands.
“There won’t be anything that’s worth stocking that won’t be in the store,” co-founder Mike Khemmoro claims.
It even has a drive-thru window for weed lovers that don’t have time to look at the vast expanse of merchandise on the inside. Orders can be made through Mango’s smartphone app or the Weedmaps portal created by WM Technology Inc (NASDAQ: MAPS).
This is Mango’s first New Mexico location. It pulled over US$91,000 in sales during its first week of operation, according to The Data Heard — a local analytics firm.
The cannabis dispensary chain Ultra Health previously had the state’s largest weed store in Bernalillo before this one opened up. This company’s flagship location, one of 30 statewide, only spans about 6,000 square feet.
If you’re a first-time customer, Mango will give you a 20 per cent discount on your purchase. The chronic supplier aims to set up shop in Albuquerque and elsewhere in the near future.

Sunland Park dispensaries reign supreme in New Mexico
One of the others, run by Dark Matter, led the state in sales last month at approximately US$1.4 million.
Moreover, the city’s “Field of Dreams” dispensary and a Cookies location brought in nearly US$2 million from adult-use ganja alone throughout December.
New Mexico generated over US$1 billion from medical and recreational sales in 2024 — an all-time high. The state has over 1,000 retailers.
Despite this success, local operators still owe over US$6.4 million in unpaid taxes from November sales alone.
