Gregory Morris was arrested for manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) conducted a search warrant at a property in Midland Wednesday on suspicion of meth and marijuana distribution, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by NewsWest 9.

The affidavit stated MCSO Narcotics Unit had been tipped off that 63-year-old Gregory Morris was distributing methamphetamine at a building on Warehouse Rd.

MCSO obtained a narcotic search warrant for the building in question.

According to the affidavit, upon entry of the area, Morris was found in a RV at the property on Warehouse Rd. Investigators began their search at the RV Morris was in.

Inside, investigators found “a large gallon size baggie of suspected methamphetamine in Morris’s freezer along with two baggies of marijuana,” the affidavit said.

Investigators said while in the RV “a smaller bag of suspect methamphetamine” was located, as well as “new baggies and U.S. Currency.”

The affidavit continued saying further search of the property revealed “three baggies of suspected methamphetamine in a black backpack that was found in the trunk of a vehicle in the shop.” Two scales were also found in the backpack.

Investigators also said a PVC pipe that contained two additional baggies of methamphetamine was also found.

According to the affidavit, seven seized baggies were weighed and totaled approximately 1,112 grams. The two baggies of marijuana weighed 184 grams.

Morris would be arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 400 grams and possession of marijuana greater than four ounces, less than five lbs. He was taken to Midland County Jail without incident.

He sits in jail on a combined $45,000 bond, according to Midland County’s Current Detainees page.
