CREOLA, Ala. (WALA) – Creola police arrested one person and seized marijuana and a gun following a traffic stop on U.S. 43.
The incident took place late Thursday night, the Creola Police Department said today in a Facebook post.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on southbound U.S. 43 near Creax Road around 11 p.m. Thursday, according to police. During the stop, an officer conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and recovered 85 grams — nearly 3 ounces — of marijuana, a digital scale and a gun, police said.
The driver, whose name authorities did not release, was arrested and charged with first-degree marijuana possession along with additional offenses, according to the post.
