A Climax Springs woman has been charged after a child was hospitalized after eating a marijuana edible.
Court documents state that Camden County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home Sunday night for a possible overdose.
The documents state that Talia Freeman contacted a neighbor to get a blood pressure cuff after she noticed the child had eaten the edible during a Super Bowl party.
The neighbor called 911 after seeing that the child was unresponsive.
Deputies said medical tests determined the child had THC and oxycodone in their system.
Freeman was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child First Degree.
She was being held in the Camden County Jail, on a $10,000 bond.
The child was placed in protective custody.
