Jamison Bennett

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police say they caught a drug dealer Wednesday with more than a pound of marijuana, brass knuckles and a sword.

Jamison Bennett, 51, is charged with six felonies.

Those include two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

Police served a search warrant at Bennett’s home near 48th Street and Leighton Avenue after taking him into custody at another location.

Investigators used a battering ram to break down the door and found a stash of marijuana in the bedroom, according to an arrest affidavit.

Two totes held a total of 1.33 pounds of marijuana, the affidavit says.

And in a shoebox, officers said they discovered a full 10 milliliter vial of testosterone cypionate, which is a controlled substance.

They also found a vial with about 1 milliliter of testosterone and several empty vials.

Two weapons were also in the bedroom, according to the affidavit: brass knuckles and a 2-foot Japanese sword. Bennett is a felon and barred from owning weapons.

In the living room, authorities said they found a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue.

Polie think Bennett had been selling marijuana to four to five people for the past few months.

On Thursday, a judge ruled that he should be held without bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
