ROCK RAPIDS—A 26-year-old Rock Rapids woman was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, on charges of second-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, assault — intending to cause pain/injury and interference with official acts.
The arrest of Madison Faye Kramer stemmed from an argument with her mother in rural Rock Rapids, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Kramer had been arguing with her mother during the night, and in the morning, hit her mother severals times with a closed hand on the head and hit her hand with her cellphone, according to the incident report.
Upon arrival of law enforcement, Kramer became agitated, and when told she was under arrest, became combative and resisted.
Kramer was taken to the ground and continued to resist until law enforcement finally was able to handcuff her.
She was transported to the county jail in Rock Rapids, where a small blunt with a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana was found in her bag.
