Grand Canyon University has named a new head women’s basketball coach to take the helm following the departure of former coach Molly Miller. On Monday, GCU announced that Winston Gandy will now lead the Lopes women’s basketball team. He served as the assistant coach for the University of South Carolina, the reigning NCAA champions.

On Monday, the Arizona Lottery announced that someone won the prize thanks to buying a winning Powerball ticket plus Power Play. The ticket, which was originally worth $50,000 before the Power Play, was sold at a Bashas in central Phoenix on the northeast corner of Seventh Street and Missouri Avenue, which is north of Camelback Road.

The mystery continues in Northern Arizona 11 days after three women vanished along the I-40 during a winter storm. Their last known location was close to a deadly winter crash. According to investigators Junghee Kim, 54, Taehee Kim, 59, and Jiyeon Lee, 33 were visiting the Grand Canyon on March 13 and then headed to Las Vegas.

New video from the Mesa police helicopter shows a car burglary suspect throwing out stolen belongings before officers took him into custody. Police arrested 37-year-old Chip Buck on March 18. Officers say a witness saw him checking cars to see if they were locked or not in an apartment parking lot. Steven Sarabia reports.
