DALLAS — North Texas officers seized pounds of weed, thousands of grams of Promethazine and over 1,000 grams of THC edibles.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers executed a search warrant in the 3000 block of Marburg Street on March 20 as part of an investigation into the manufacturing and distribution of illegal drugs.
During the search, officers recovered guns, ammunition, stacks of cash and a pile of drugs, according to a Dallas PD release. That release says among those drugs were:
Promethazine is a prescription liquid allergy medication, notably used along with codeine, soda and candy to create lean — sometimes known as sizzurp or purple drank, among other nicknames.
DPD arrested 23-year-old Marcus Davis and 18-year-old Jaylen Johnson during the search, police said. Both were charged with first- and second-degree felonies for manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, as well as a third-degree felony for possession of marijuana. The DPD release states that Davis was also arrested on unrelated warrants.
