GRANBY — A 29-year-old Granby man known to police was arrested on May 27 after officers executed a search warrant at a warehouse on Saint-Urbain Street in the city’s industrial corridor.
The afternoon raid, carried out by investigators from Granby’s initiated crimes unit and the ACCES Cannabis team, was the result of an investigation launched in April 2026 following tips from members of the public about suspected illegal cannabis trafficking.
Officers seized more than 600 grams of cannabis, approximately 400 grams of cannabis concentrate, more than 400 tablets, and roughly 50 grams of an unidentified powder that will be sent for analysis. Investigators also recovered more than $1,000 in cash along with trafficking-related materials including a cellphone, a scale, and packaging bags.
The suspect was questioned by investigators and subsequently released. He could face criminal charges related to possession and trafficking of controlled substances.
Granby police thanked community members whose tips led to the investigation, noting that public information is essential to initiating enforcement action.
