LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas State Police announced that they seized over 200 pounds of illegal marijuana on Christmas Eve.
According to authorities, the seizure occurred around 6:50 p.m. as ASP troopers stopped a white 2021 Ford F-150 along I-40 in Lonoke County in reference to a traffic violation.
During the stop, police searched the truck bed and found “207 vacuum-sealed packages of illegal marijuana in six large suitcases.”
Troopers said that each package weighed around 1.2 pounds, which brought the total weight to 248 pounds.
ASP confirmed that they arrested the driver of the F-150, who was identified as 53-year-old Xiong Ren, of Chickasha, Oklahoma,
After his arrest, Ren was transported to the Lonoke County Detention Center, where he was booked on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and unauthorized use of another person’s property to facilitate a crime.
