Theft of property
On Jan. 29, a female student reported the theft of her bicycle, UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said in an email.
Theft of property worth $100 to $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both.
The case is still active.
Assault
On Jan. 31, officers made contact with a female student who reported her husband pushed her during an argument, McCord said. The husband was issued a citation and the student went to stay with a relative.
Assault is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $4,000, up to one year in jail or both.
Criminal trespass
On Feb. 1, officers investigated three students who accessed an area under construction, McCord said. The students were released at the scene.
If the offender has not been previously convicted of trespassing on higher education property, the offense is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $500.

Possession of marijuana
On Feb. 1, an officer made contact with a parked vehicle occupied by six students, McCord said. One of the students was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was arrested and transported to the Arlington Police Department jail. Another student was issued a citation for possessing a tobacco product while being under 21.
Possession of marijuana in two ounces or less is a class B misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both.
Possession of drug paraphernalia is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $500.
Purchase of tobacco products while under 21 years of age is a class C misdemeanor.
Reckless damage or destruction of property
On Feb. 3, a female student reported a traffic crash where the other driver did not stop as required by law, McCord said. Officers were able to locate the driver who did not stop and obtained their insurance information.
Reckless damage or destruction of property is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500.
