PRESS RELEASE FROM THE WEST TENNESSEE DRUG TASK FORCE – 28TH, 29TH, 30TH DISTRICTS:

During the early morning hours of 10/8/24, Agents from the 28th District served a search warrant at Crockett Manor Apartments in Trenton, Tn. pursuant to a drug investigation.

As Officers made entry into the 2nd story apartment, one person opened a bedroom window and threw a large duffel bag out landing at the feet of an Agent on the ground outside. Afterward, the Agent observed a near nude male begin climbing out of the bedroom window. When the ground Agent challenged the man, he crawled back inside to the waiting arms of Officers and was taken into custody without further incident.

Upon searching the thrown bag, approximately seven pounds of marijuana and an electronic scale were found. Inside of the apartment, a second suitcase was found next to the window containing another four pounds of marijuana. Also found in the home was a loaded Glock handgun and $4,127.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

One male, who was out on bond from a neighboring jurisdiction was arrested and charged with drug and weapons charges as well as tampering with evidence.

This case is being prosecuted by The Office of the District Attorney General, 28th Judicial District, Frederick Agee.

Due to information received during the investigation, Agents utilized Gibson County SWAT to make entry and were also assisted by the Trenton TN Police Department.
