BLOUNT COUNTY, AL (WBMA) — An investigation is underway in Blount County after the Snead Police Department announced an arrest on Saturday of a repeat offender in a drug bust.

According to the Snead Police Department’s Facebook, on Saturday, Chief Hathcock, Reserve Officer Williams and K-9 Rango with the Snead Police stopped a vehicle after the driver violated traffic laws.

When officers searched the vehicle, they found that the driver, Donny Chambless, had 21 grams of methamphetamine in his possession.

Officers arrested Chambless where he is being held in the Blount County Jail on charges for controlled substances.

Chambless had been stopped by the same team of officers two months earlier, for a traffic stop where officers discovered 20 grams of methamphetamine.
