POLICE uncovered more than 100 cannabis plants after being called to reports of a disturbance in Southend.
Officers were called to an address in Bournemouth Park Road at around 12.15am today, following reports of a disturbance there.
When officers attended they found more than 100 cannabis plants inside a property.
Residents took to social media to report a large police presence in the road, near Wentworth Road, with “forensics” also on the scene until the late morning.
Police were on the scene for at least 10 hours, according to residents.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Our enquiries are ongoing.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote the crime reference number 42/20086/25.”
