Police seized a quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of TT$13,290 during an anti-crime operation in the Morvant district during the Boxing Day holiday.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), on December 26 between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm officers from Morvant CID conducted a search of a bushy area along Pitch Road, Morvant, PC Dan discovered a black plastic bag containing eight clear plastic wrappings, each containing cannabis.
Upon weighing the substance, it totalled 443 grams with an estimated street value of just over $13,000.
The operation was led by Acting Senior Superintendent Edwards, Superintendent Birch, Acting Assistant Superintendent Callender, and coordinated by Acting Inspector Ramsingh, with Sergeant Maynard playing a key role.
The operation was supervised by Corporal Daniel and W/Acting Corporal Cooper, with active participation from members of the Morvant CID, Morvant Chargeroom, and the NED Task Force.
