EUGENE, Ore. — An intense break-in at Eugreen Farms, a marijuana manufacturing facility, was caught on camera.

Two of their locations in west Eugene were broken into early Thursday morning. This was the first time the Farm has been broken into since the beginning of operations eight years ago.

According to the Eugene Police Department, a white truck drove through the front gate around 3 a.m. and rammed three warehouse doors, while a second vehicle trailed behind.

Security footage shows a man jumping out of the car and entering the warehouse.

The attack shown on camera happened just minutes after their other location, about a mile away, was also broken into.

The owners, Justin and Samantha Howard, watched it all unfold on security cameras.

“We saw the truck mow down the fence at the other spot and then he left,” said Justin Howard. “I’m pretty sure he came over here to mow down these fences while they did their thing over there. They only took about five to seven minutes. As I was driving to the first location, I got the second response from the security company.”

Meanwhile, Samantha checked the cameras at the second location. “I immediately pulled up this location and called 9-1-1 and watched it happen over here.”

The Howards say nearly $60,000 worth of product was stolen from the first location. They are estimating about $20,000 in damages.

The Howards say, based on how the suspects broke in, they knew the location well.

“I think it’s a good chance we knew them,” said Justin. “I don’t think it was someone who worked for us. It could’ve been a buyer, a tester, or someone who had information about our layout. They went directly to the rooms that they needed to go to, they knew exactly where they were going.”

Attending multiple Cannabis Industry Alliance of Oregon meetings recently, Samantha says concerns of warehouses being broken into has been brought up often, making them wonder if the attack be larger than their facility.

“The only reason why I don’t think it was someone that worked for me is because this is how it’s been done in Portland too – and several of the farms, and several other dispensaries, the exact same style,” Justin said.

EPD is investigating the break-in and says it’s unknown right now if these break-ins are related to any other cases from out of the area.

The Howards took their concerns a step further, addressing the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission directly.

“I spoke with the OLCC Commissioner this morning and brought up that problem of having public addresses and let her know what was going on and what had happened and how bad it could’ve been had someone been in the facility,” said Samantha.

Just hours after the break-in, the white truck seen in the video was found in Springfield.

EPD confirmed that the vehicle was stolen prior to the break-in.

Eugreen Farms distributes products throughout the state.

The Howards say their insurance will eventually help cover the cost of repairs and loss of product.

Eugene PD says there are at least four suspects in the open investigation.
