A first court appearance is tentatively set for Monday for an Emporia man accused of distributing marijuana.
William David Walters, age 29, was arrested Thursday evening and later charged with one count of distributing up to 450 grams of marijuana as part of an alleged incident earlier in the month. Walters is also charged with using a cell phone to assist with the crime, as well as single counts of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Walters’ first court appearance is set for shortly after 1 pm Monday in Lyon County District Court.
