CHOCTAW, OKLA. (KOKH) — A traffic stop leads Choctaw Police to discover 135 lbs of black-market marijuana.
On Feb. 2, around 10:53 p.m., an officer saw a white Toyota sedan with an out-of-state license plate going westbound on Northeast 23rd near Louise Drive.
The vehicle did not have functioning license plate lights and the registration plate was expired.
Police conducted a traffic stop, and believed the driver may be involved in illegal narcotics trafficking.
The vehicle was searched and officials found 135 lbs of black-market marijuana.
The driver was arrested and charged with illegal trafficking of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and multiple traffic violations.
