Anti-crime exercises across several divisions on Wednesday have resulted in four arrests and two sets of narcotic seizures.

According to a TTPS report, officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), while on mobile patrol in the Laventille area, arrested a 29-year-old man for outstanding warrants and a 42-year-old suspect from Sea Lots in connection with a report of robbery which occurred on Friday, May 24  in the San Juan District. 

Both men were conveyed to the San Juan Police Station.

Also, based on intelligence, members of the IATF then proceeded to Quarry Street and conducted a search at a parlour located near the Regional Corporation Compound on Observatory Street. 

There, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, they discovered and seized a black bag containing 120 grams of cannabis hidden under a plant pot in the vicinity of the parlour.

Meanwhile in Paradise Heights, Morvant, officers arrested a suspect who was wanted in connection with reports of robbery with violence and robbery with aggravation in the district. 

A search of the location led to the discovery of 354 grams of cannabis and 4 grams of cocaine concealed in a barrel beneath a staircase. The suspect, along with the seized items, were taken to the Morvant Police Station.

A 20-year-old suspect from Princes Town was also arrested for possession of 95 grams of cannabis when Southern Division Task Force officers conducted an anti-crime operation in the division.
