[PRESS RELEASE] – TIMONIUM, Md., April 15, 2025 – Curio Wellness, a cGMP-certified, vertically integrated cannabis company and market-leading innovator in health and wellness products, announced the opening of its newest Far & Dotter dispensary in collaboration with Viola, the premium cannabis company rooted in purpose, in Pikesville, Md.

The store is located at 1852 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208. This marks the company’s third retail location in the state, joining existing dispensaries in Timonium and Elkton. A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting will take place starting at 9:30 a.m. on April 17th, with appearances by Viola founder and former NBA player Al Harrington, co-founder Dan Pattigrew, Maryland Cannabis Administration Director Tabitha Robinson, and the Curio Wellness executive team. Far & Dotter offers a premium and personalized dispensary experience along with a wide range of health and wellness products and spa services.

By working together, Curio Wellness and Viola have overcome the obstacles that many face in navigating the regulatory complexities of this industry. This partnership shows that an equitable, mutually beneficial collaboration is achievable and sets a strong example of what meaningful and inclusive partnerships can look like in the state. This collaboration is not just about expanding access to cannabis; it’s about fostering an environment where diverse, community-driven partnerships can grow.

“In partnership with Viola, we’re beyond excited to open our doors in Pikesville and expand Far & Dotter, and we are humbled by the faith and trust Viola has placed in us to represent them in the Maryland market,” Curio Wellness CEO Michael Bronfein said. “As a family-led and operated business from this community, the Pikesville location is particularly meaningful for us, and we are eager to expand our reach, helping neighbors improve quality of life through a warm and inviting retail experience. We’re proud to be a champion for cannabis education and science-backed products and look forward to growing with the communities that have supported us along the way.”

“I started Viola because of my grandmother. Seeing how cannabis helped her find relief changed everything for me. That family-driven purpose has guided us from day one, and Curio Wellness shares our commitment to wellness, education and quality, which is why partnering with them is special,” Harrington said. “The Maryland market has been on our radar for a while, and we’re excited to work with the Curio team to bring Viola products to shelves soon.”

The Pikesville dispensary opening follows the first anniversary of Curio Wellness’ first Far & Dotter franchise opening in Mississippi as a part of its inclusive franchising model. Most recently, the company expanded to Missouri, bringing its award-winning flower and infused cannabis products. Later this spring, its Elkton, Md., dispensary will rebrand as a Far & Dotter location, and it will open its first New Jersey franchise. Curio also announced a strategic partnership with Ascend Wellness Holdings, where Ascend will manufacture and distribute Curio products in states where they are operating, beginning with New Jersey this spring.
