They noted their intoxication hemp products include:

Gummies
Drinks (seltzer, mocktails, soda, etc)
Mints
Chocolates

DoorDash is partnering with Cann, a very large intoxicating hemp drink corporation, to offer customers a discount until March.

According to their website, it “must be sold in compliance with state-mandated age limits. Hemp-derived products contain no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis. A Certificate of Analysis for the product may be obtained from the manufacturer. The Food and Drug Administration has not evaluated these products for safety or efficacy. And has not evaluated any statements regarding these products. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Do not use these products if you are pregnant or nursing. Keep these products out of reach of children.”

DoorDash is a humongous corporation as a Multi State Operator (MSO). They grew significantly in the wake of the pandemic.

In 2018. then Republican Donald Trump signed into law the Farm Bill, which legalized marijuana with less than .03 percent THC, which is a cannabinoid known to get you high and so they called that marijuana hemp instead.

Afterward, business-minded scientists then found there are so many more cannabinoids in marijuana, like THCA, Delta 8 THC, Delta 10 THC, and others.

So, while it was legalized primarily for making many industrial products like rope, businesses figured out a way to sell legal weed products.

Since 2018, many states, including New Jersey passed laws regulating hemp.

The NJ legislature passed a bill banning intoxicating hemp, and Governor Phil Murphy (D) signed it into law last fall, 2024. But a judge ruled they can’t completely ban it due to the Farm Bill. But the State can regulate it.

Pro-hemp companies are appealing that court decision.

The NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) has already taken action banning intoxicating hemp artificially created.

Jerseyhas many honest smoke shop owners selling quality products across the State. However, there are also a lot of gas stations selling poorly made snake oil products without Certificates of Analysis(COAs). So many in both the legal and underground cannabis industry do not like intoxicating hemp.

Delivery of legal adult-use NJ cannabis market is only just beginning to grow. Very few independent licensed delivery companies have been started. Licensing for delivery companies began after growers, manufacturers, and dispensaries could apply for a license to open legally.

Many dispensaries have launched their delivery process like Domino’s.
