Grön—female-owned cannabis company out of Oregon—is no stranger to the Missouri marijuana market. The brand and their owner Christine Apple have been serving the Show-Me State industry highs since before recreational cannabis sales even began.

Strictly involved in the edible side of the weed game, the company has become a prominent distributor of gummies and chocolates, not only here, but also in Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio.

This past October, the Grön launched two new flavors of their popular MEGA pearl line—a large gumdrop, each consisting of varying amounts of cannabinoids. The Pitch took the chance to sample the two new flavors and can say that Grön continues to deliver on quality gummies to the Missouri industry.

Strawberry Lemonade MEGA Pearl: Biting into this 1:1 CBC: THC MEGA Pearl (100mg each), there is a much sweeter strawberry that immediately hits the taste buds. Shortly after, the tartness of the lemonade begins to set in, creating a pleasant intersection where sweet meets sour. While it is usually the sour that takes the most prominence, the sweet in this Strawberry Lemonade MEGA Pearl withstands the test that the counteracting flavor brings to the table. Listed as an ‘energizing’ form of the gummy, I took the opportunity to eat this plump sugar drop during the afternoon when I had practically wrapped up my work for the day. As I waited for the THC to kick in, I knocked out a little bit of research, but as the hours grew older, I grew slower, as this MEGA Pearl eventually had me cashed out.

Sour Grape MEGA Pearl: Upon ripping through the child-proof packaging, immediate aromas of the grape began to hit the nose. Like all Grön gummies, this MEGA Pearl hits all of the checkmarks that make a quality gumdrop, which can be attributed to the company’s recipes that have been developed by Haribo. While the grape is a bit tart, it is not an overwhelming or off-putting sourness. The product leaves a smooth grape soda aftertaste, and shortly had me stuck like jam as the 100mg THC began to creep in. Listed as a ‘chill’ MEGA Pearl, that is exactly what I did: sat around and let the THC take its toll as the evening unwinded.
