Renowned experts, regulators, and advocates headline groundbreaking international symposium paving the way forward for the global cannabis industry
The 2025 Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit will be held within the U.S. Capitol Complex in Washington, D.C. on March 26-27, 2025.
The inaugural international symposium strives to build global connectivity and partnership amongst regulators, industry professionals, and investors.
The lineup of invite-only attendees, moderators, and speakers includes a keynote discussion with Former United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and Super Bowl Champion and cannabis advocate Marvin Washington.
Artemis Growth Partners (“Artemis”), a global private investment group, today announced the programming schedule and speaker lineup for the Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit (“GCRS” or the “Summit”), a first-of-its-kind, invite-only international symposium curated to strengthen global connectivity and partnership. The Summit will be hosted in conjunction with Tenacious Labs, a pioneering international cannabinoid group championing scientific rigor, effective regulation, and product quality, and further supported by eleven lead sponsors. The inaugural Summit will be held within the U.S. Capitol Complex in Washington, D.C. on March 26-27, 2025.
“The Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit provides an unprecedented opportunity at an event that is of, by, and for the global regulators of legal medical cannabis by design,” said William Muecke, Managing Member of Artemis Growth Partners. “We have put the patient first as the focal point of the Summit. If we all, as industry participants, regulators, legislators, operators, and investors, align all interests on servicing the patient with the highest quality, lowest cost, most highly tested, and fully standardized medicines, then everyone wins. Governments reduce national healthcare and enforcement costs, markets get a free-flowing, highly regulated industry with high barriers to entry, and patients get the best medicine with the highest efficacy, easiest access, and the lowest overall out-of-pocket cost. When we collaborate, standardize, and harmonize regulations, we are proving the best we can as an industry to serve the legal medical cannabis patient everywhere.”
The GCRS is designed to champion collaboration and partnership amongst innovators and pioneers looking to build a robust and expansive regulated industry that spans the globe. International policy experts and leading cannabis industry executives will begin the inaugural Summit on the evening of March 25, 2025 with a reception in Georgetown. The Summit will continue on March 26 as distinguished speakers and moderators lead fireside chats and panel discussions examining the medical market.
The GCRS will conclude on March 27 as attendees shift their focus to explore the state of the adult use market and other non-medical opportunities for the plant to uncover new ways to expedite the momentum of legalization in new jurisdictions. Panelists and moderators from across the adult use market and other relevant sectors will lead discussions and fireside chats for a half-day of programming.
The Summit is designed to bring together the regulated industry’s foremost decision makers from 16 international markets in an effort to build a brighter future for the global, legal cannabis markets. Countries represented include Australia, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Morocco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Artemis Growth Partners will be following up with published white papers that mirror the talk tracks of the medical and adult use content channels. Medical content white paper themes will address issues ranging from unlocking the plant as a global medicine, harmonizing international regulatory frameworks, quality and standardization for a global medical market, cannabis and public health, equal access to cannabis medicines, shifting US policies around medical cannabis, to cannabis as a medicine in the Americas. Adult use white paper themes will cover topics that include the overcoming of barriers to unlock global cannabis reform, lessons learned from current adult use markets, the United States as a contra example for how to approach cannabis legalization, and how best to leverage the cannabis plant for overall societal change.
Prohibition Partners will publish the full dossier of white papers in a working document that will become a must-have digital shelf item for anyone in the global cannabis industry. The final compendium from the Summit will be published online and available to download for free on Prohibition Partners and Artemis Growth Partners websites, as well as through links that will be distributed over social media (LinkedIn, X, and Facebook). The final white paper collection will be available for anyone to download for free as the focus of the non-profit Summit is to provide tools to everyone for education, collaboration, harmonization, and promotion of the plant as medicine. Service to the legal medical cannabis patient remains the central focus point for all involved in the upcoming event.
With global sales projected to hit USD $51 billion this year, the Summit provides a unique opportunity to share insights from established markets to guide emerging jurisdictions in effective policy development and expedite legalization efforts. The invite-only Summit is currently at capacity.
