WINTERSVILLE, Ohio — A second business in the village of Wintersville now will be selling recreational marijuana following Ohio’s voters approving recreational cannabis last year.

Recreational use became legal Dec. 7, 2023 and licensed sales were able to begin on Aug. 6.

Greenlight now holds a license to sell recreational products.

“We’ve anticipated this for a long time,” Greenlight General Manager Sarah Davis said. “People are like, it started in November, but it’s been years in the making. I’ve been here three and a half years and anticipated this moment since the beginning.”

“We are always looking forward to people coming into town from out of town, the locals and the tax revenue from it and, obviously, the employment side as well,” Wintersville Mayor Mike Petrella said.

Valid identification must be presented to enter the dispensary.
