HINESBURG, Vt. (WCAX) – Will Hinesburg voters let cannabis dispensaries set up shop?
Pot shops are back on the ballot this Town Meeting Day after twice being rejected.
Hinesburg Town Manager Todd Odit says their biggest concern is about available retail space. “I just know generally there is very limited retail commercial space available in town. You know, if it passes that is going to be the hardest part — is finding someone to open a business where they can do it,” he said.
Two other towns will vote on retail cannabis next week — Fairfax and Stockbridge. Meanwhile, Wilmington is looking to rescind its cannabis ordinance.
