>> Staten Island marijuana dispensary closes out ‘Flowery Fest’ with Wu-Tang Clan’s next generation

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Spring is in the air, but it wasn’t the only thing in the air on Saturday when two Staten Island adult cannabis dispensaries hosted festivals.

The Flowery, of Charleston, and High Stone, of Concord, organized two separate events for local weed lovers.

The Flowery — which opened in January 2024 and was the first dispensary in the borough to offer residents the opportunity to purchase cannabis products legally — offered live music and more. The three-day festival, which kicked off Friday, will wrap up around 7 p.m. Sunday.

“Flowery Fest is our love letter to Staten Island — a celebration of cannabis culture, music, and community like the borough’s never seen before,” said The Flowery team. “This weekend is about honoring where we come from and where we’re headed. We’re bringing the beats, the vibes, and the plant to the people — all for free, while supplies last, right here in Staten Island.”

Saturday’s entertainment began with singer Charlotte Celine “Charlilonewolf” Colon, followed by music performances across various genres, including rock, metal, hardcore, and hip-hop.

The festival — held at 3022 Veterans Road West — will end on Sunday with performances at the main stage from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The lineup features independent artists and second-generation hip-hop royalty, including:

iNTeLL  (son of U-God from Wu-Tang Clan)Pxwer and Nukelefluer (children of Method Man)Supreme Intelligence (son of Ghostface Killah)Weather Park (son of Ol’ Dirty Bastard)Trillian  (son of Busta Rhymes)

Plus, rising independent talent like Honey Staxx, Chey (daughter of Method Man), Chrissy Bandzz, City the Great, Anigma, and more will take the stage.

High Stone dispensary in Concord, which opened in 2024 and is known for delivering cannabis products to South Brooklyn and Staten Island, hosted Festival 420 at 1938 Clove Road on Saturday.

The entertainment was organized by Mex Guevara, owner of Mex3media, who said, “Four-twenty weekend is one of the biggest weekends for smoking. Over 600 people turned out, so the plan is to do these maybe three or four times a year.”

The sold-out festival was open to those 21 and over, and featured performances by rapper Jadakiss and DJ/rapper Funk Flex.

Jordan McDermott, of Arrochar, said he attended High Stone’s Festival 420 for the event’s good vibes.

“I’m here enjoying life and seeing other people enjoying life too. There were people skateboarding, good music, and smoking. It was a good day, praise the Lord.”

Maria Cirincione from Willowbrook, who wanted to see Jadakiss, Gorilla Nems, and the Brooklyn crew, said, “I was a little late, sadly, and missed the performance, but I got to see Funkmaster Flex and got good deals on weed.”
