Kansas State sophomore forward Macaleab Rich was cited for possession of marijuana on Tuesday.
Police pulled Rich over at the intersection of Claflin Road and Sunset Avenue in Manhattan just before noon.
He was also cited for not having proof of insurance.
Rich is one of just three returning scholarship players from last season. As a freshman, he played in 16 games, putting up a career high 13 points versus Central Arkansas and nine rebounds versus Nebraska.
He averaged 3.8 points per game and 2.5 rebounds in a season that saw the Wildcats tie for ninth in the Big 12 and lose in the opening round of NIT.
He was a four-star prospect coming out of high school at East St. Louis, where he played with Illinois-Chicago transfer CJ Jones.
