BUTLER COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations after a traffic stop.
Just after 7p.m. March 5, a sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Fort Taurus for an alleged traffic violation in the 9800 Block of SW Santa Fe Lake Road, according to a media release. During the stop, the deputy developed probable cause for a vehicle search leading to the discovery and seizure of approximately 2.8 pounds of marijuana, 92 grams of methamphetamine, and 1 gram of fentanyl powder.
The deputy arrested the suspects identified as a 19-year-old from Wellington and a 33-year-old from Blackwell, Oklahoma. Both were booked into the Butler County Detention Facility on multiple drug related requested charges.
