KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – Jennifer Washington, the executive director of administrative services at The Killeen Independent School District (KISD), is on administrative leave following her arrest on a marijuana possession charge, the school district confirmed to KWTX.

According to Temple Police, at about 11:10 p.m. on Sept. 21, officers were in the area of I-35 and exit 299 when a vehicle with a malfunctioning driver-side headlight drove past them.

The officers initiated a traffic stop and approached the vehicle.

Officers identified the driver of the vehicle as Washington and observed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

The police officers asked all occupants in the vehicle to step out and then searched the vehicle.

They located 1.9 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle and arrested Washington without incident.
